That’s what we are
Trying hard to hide the way we feel
I’ve got nothing to blog about today. Here’s an open thread about As GDOT Turns, starring Mike Evans and Gena Abraham.
Think those two crazy kids can make it work?
In the Hoop
The NBA: Where my girlfriend asking me every day if this is the finals happens.
Picks:
L.A. over Denver: Hey Carmelo, basketball’s not like bowling. You don’t get better at it when you’re drunk.
New Orleans over Dallas: You know who’s quick enough to guard Chris Paul? Devin Harris.
Phoenix over San Antonio: This is the reason the Suns got Shaq. Also, Robert Horry and Michael Finley are so old, Dikembe Mutombo went to their basketball camp.

Dave Bliss ruined my weekend.
Even though my beloved Rebels were shut out of the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row, and though the smoke drifting from the selection committee’s back room usually seems to be crack, I can’t complain too much. Ole Miss could’ve taken care of business in close games at Tennessee and Kentucky, or actually showed up for losses against powder puffs like LSU, South Carolina and Auburn (twice). They also could have not gotten fooled by the ol’ baseline pass trick, not let Corey Butler split two defenders and not left Bliss open for a gimme bank shot.
I can also take solace in my team getting knocked out by the winner. Congratulations, Georgia.
I’m still mad about March, and I’m filling out my bracket tonight. Here’s a few guidelines I usually try to follow:

Music City with some other Dawgs

Greetings from Nashville, where Darryl Gamble (with some help from Reshad Jones) may have turned around Georgia’s football season back in October against Vanderbilt.
I’m blogging from my seat on press row at the Sommet Center at the SEC women’s basketball tournament. Georgia plays tonight here against Kentucky at 7:30 ET in the quarterfinals.
Right now the joint is filled with Tennessee orange and a smattering of LSU purple. It’s a pretty decent crowd.
Pat Summit’s Lady Vols play Florida in today’s second game. LSU is beating up on Ole Miss 66-27 with under seven minutes to play.
So Georgia would get LSU in the semifinals, but it better step it up later today after a lackluster showing last night against bottom-feeder Alabama.
