U.S. Reps. Paul Broun and Nathan Deal got their feelings hurt when Vice President Joe Biden didn’t invite them to an announcement in Georgia, according to The Hill.

Biden visited Dawsonville with Gov. Sonny Perdue to tout a $47 million, stimulus-funded, 260-mile fiber optics coble that will bring broadband Internet to North Georgia. They said it will bring growth and economic development to the region because Internet access is often slow and spotty in rural areas.

Broun is not quoted in the article, but Deal spokeswoman Stephanie Mayfield said, “Had Congressman Deal been invited to this event, he most certainly would have made every effort to attend. Unfortunately, he was not given this opportunity, and is disappointed by that fact.”
