The NBA: Where my girlfriend asking me every day if this is the finals happens.
Picks:
L.A. over Denver: Hey Carmelo, basketball’s not like bowling. You don’t get better at it when you’re drunk.
New Orleans over Dallas: You know who’s quick enough to guard Chris Paul? Devin Harris.
Phoenix over San Antonio: This is the reason the Suns got Shaq. Also, Robert Horry and Michael Finley are so old, Dikembe Mutombo went to their basketball camp.
Utah over Houston: Luis Scola is overrated. Tracy McGrady is overrated. Even Carl Landry is overrated, and no one’s ever heard of him. I made this pick before Utah went up 2-0; in fact, I think they’ll go to the finals, seven months from now.
Boston over Atlanta: Charles Barkley is right. The Hawks are turrble.
Detroit over Philadelphia: Honestly, this could be an upset. As Sheed says, though, ball don’t lie.
Orlando over … who is Orlando playing again? I’m picking Orlando, even though Dwight Howard’s Superman dunk was weak.
Cleveland over Washington: The Hack-A-Bron strategy is not working out too well.
