President Barack Obama apparently thinks Georgia has 86 congressional districts.
Good thing for him it doesn’t – otherwise, Republicans might control the House. But as Rep. Paul Broun pointed out today, a list of stimulus grants in Georgia shows $6.3 million going to the nonexistent 00th, 86th, 25th, 21st, 19th, 14th and 27th districts. Georgia has 13 districts.
As an aside, who would represent the 00th District? Jean-Paul Sartre?
Anyway, Broun went on the attack, calling on the administration to fix the Web site.
“In May, I warned that in addition to broken transparency promises, the Obama Administration is offering ‘progress’ reports that are nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Half a year later, this Administration has proven that it can spend, spend, spend,” he said in a news release. “But when it comes to managing the spending and improving transparency, they simply haven’t been up to the task.”
How’s this for irony? Broun’s 10th District has received $263 million in stimulus cash – sixth overall and second among Republicans in Georgia. The money has created 350.2 jobs so far, fourth overall and first among Republicans.

Rolling on,
Apparently spending isn't the only transparency issue Pres. Barry is having.
Seems that he is having problems with the teleprompter.

You realize that's an Onion article, right?
Say it ain't so.
NO !!!!!!
Really ?????
I'm shocked.
It appears to be as accurate as the administration's job count and the congressional districts the saved jobs are in.

if the previous president
if the previous president had been monitoring ARRA we wouldn't even know any of the information, where it came from, or how it was calculated. The reporting of ARRA may have flaws (maybe a whole lot of them) but it is open and out there for everyone to see. Isn't that what we want?
Do you realize that governments/other reporting on ARRA had 10 days to report at the end of the first quarter (ending sept 30). The federal agencies responsible for those funds had about 20 days to review all of this information before it went public. you try and manage a process like that and not mess up.
